INTRODUCING OUR RED WINE RESVERATROL AND ROSE OIL SKIN CARE

Resveratrol and the "French Paradox"

Resveratrol first came to the attention of scientists when a study was conducted in Southern France as to why heart disease was relatively low in France despite a diet rich in saturated fats. This phenomenom is often referred to as the "French Paradox". The French are well known for their love of wine and research indicates that there is a connection between the amount of red wine consumed in France and the low incidences of cardiac disease.

Resveratrol is a naturally occurring compound found in a variety of sources including blueberries, peanuts, Japanese Knotweed, grape skin and red wine, with grape skin and red wine being the richest source of resveratrol.

It's powerful anti-oxidant and anti-aging abilities has meant that resveratrol has been popular as a supplement for some time and it has been dominating the field of anti-aging research for years.  Recently, it's addition to skin care as an active ingredient means it has also become the latest anti-aging skin care must have!

Resveratrol is reported to stimulate cellular turnover and to increase collagen and elastin production, thereby reducing wrinkles.  It is also a powerful and efficient antioxidant and free-radical fighter.  In addition, prelimimary research shows that it may fight skin damage caused by ultraviolet light. Pretty amazing don't you think?!

Rose Oil in Skin Care

The Beautiful Rose! The symbol of love, purity and beauty. Loved by many and without doubt one of the most beautiful flowers in existence. The precious essential oil of the rose is a treasure for facial skin care and is particularly known for it’s anti-aging properties and aroma. It is used extensively in many skin care products and perfumes.

Roses are highly regarded for their many health and skin care benefits and, although rose oil is suitable for all skin types, its antibacterial, antiseptic and mild astringent properties make it especially valuable for dry, sensitive and mature skin.

It moisturises, hydrates, soothes and calms the skin and is useful in reducing the redness caused by enlarged capillaries. It also tones, lifts and helps smooth away fine lines and wrinkles. It has also proven to be very useful when treating eczema.
